Some civil rights activists in Embu county have asked Chief Justice David Maraga to name individuals and leaders who allegedly tried to bribe a judge in the election appeal case filed by Embu Governor Martin Wambora.
Embu Citizens Oversight Network said Maraga should name and shame those trying to ascend to power through illegal means.
Led by Muriuki Munyi, they condemned the alleged act saying those responsible should be barred from vying for political seats.
His sentiments were shared by Wawira Njue, who said it is unfortunate that the leaders who are supposed to fight corruption, are the ones enganging in corrupt deals saying that they should not be allowed to hold public offices.
Last week, Justice Sankale ole Kantai disqualified himself from the case pitting Wambora and former Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti claiming one of the parties in the case tried to compromise him.
