Aloe Blacc to shoot film in Kenya

Celebrated American soul artiste, Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III AKA Alloe Blacc, is set to work with Kenyan filmmakers, in a move set to shine more spotlight on Malaria.

The Wake me Up singer who is in the country for the Blanket n Wine concert happening this Sunday, intimated that he has been in talks with some film producers and the work is in progress, under the Malaria No More initiative.

At the same time, he says that he is proud to be part of the Blankets n Wine experience and that he is curious to interact with the Kenyan crowd and enjoy himself. “I am proud to be here and have an opportunity to perform for a different crowd.

“Of course I am loving every bit of Kenya since I arrived. In the States, when you wake up you can’t see the horizon because of buildings but here it’s different. You can’t see the horizon because of the trees,” he revealed.
