Kiambu leaders push for 1.2M voter turnout in the August election

14 Kiambu county Jubilee nominees have Sunday appealed to their constituents to come out in large numbers and re-elect  President Uhuru Kenyatta  back to state house  by garnering 1.2M votes in his home county.
This follows President Kenyatta’s appeal to candidates to go back to the grassroots to campaign for the Jubilee Presidential ticket, during his re-election bid launched Saturday at Bomas.
At the same time, Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has announced that he will not be vying as an independent candidate in the August elections following his defeat in the Jubilee party nominations, he also says he would not be defecting from Jubilee but would lead an aggressive campaign towards President Kenyatta’s re-election
