Gov’t extends by one week reporting deadline for coast region

The government has extended the deadline for reporting for form one students in the Coast region by one week, after barely 1,000 of the possible 5,568 students reported to school by Friday morning.
Acting education cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has effectively directed all county commissioners and education directors to ensure all the eligible students are facilitated to take up their positions, in respective schools.
Matiang’i has also directed all school buses to be painted yellow by the end of march this year.
