DP Ruto: We must give IEBC space to run the election

A stalemate rages on at Anniversary Towers where Jubilee and NASA took their hardline stances leaving with no solution in sight.

The opposition alliance walked out of Tuesday’s meeting with IEBC commissioners protesting that the electoral body had ambushed them with a document and Jubilee’s lack of seriousness with the meeting.

Deputy President William Ruto however called for sobriety saying IEBC should be given space to conduct the election as an independent institution.

NASA has since then released what it says are irreducible minimums among them the removal  of IEBC Chair of Ezra Chiloba and the cancellation of Al Ghurair contract to print the ballot papers.
