C.A faults Telcos for leaking report alleging plans to spy on Kenyans

The Communications Authority of Kenya has denied allegations that it planned to snoop on mobile phone usage and gather confidential data through the new device management system.

Director General Francis Wangusi dismissed the reports attributed to some telcos as malicious stating that the purpose of implementing the new system was to check proliferation of counterfeit devices and prevent from being used in local networks.
