Nasa to hold people’s assembly sessions

National Super Alliance (Nasa) has announced it will convene the session of its peoples assembly in a fortnight.

Siaya Senator James Orengo said the assembly will fulfil its objectives with the support of the County Assemblies and the governors.

He spoke when he led Nasa politicians for a political rally at the Kamukunji grounds in Kibra yesterday.

Move motions

Orengo said the assembly will run its session smoothly and create a legislative paradigm shift where the citizens directly take control of their lives.

“People’s assembly will start in two weeks and will move motions that as Kenyans will help chart our way forward,” he said.

The legislator sensationally claimed the Opposition alliance will declare Raila Odinga duly elected president regardless of a petition filed challenging the October 26 poll.

“We will recognise Raila as the President of the Republic Kenya…he won the August 8 election, because if the servers are opened today it will show that he won,” he said.

This comes just days after Nasa affiliated governors agreed to set up people’s assembly in their respective counties.

The governors who met yesterday agreed to take the proposal to their county assemblies for approval and mobilise grassroots leaders to the conference when it is convened.
