Kenya Film Commission (KFC) has invited all practicing and up-and-coming filmmakers to submit their original concepts for a pitching competition. The contest will be a side event at the upcoming Kalasha International TV and Film Market 2019 slated for March 26 to 28, this year, at Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.
Filmmakers will have dedicated rooms where selected individuals from East Africa will be given a chance to pitch a concept or project to potential investors in categories such as TV Series and Soaps, Animation (Short or Series), Film (Long Feature Film & Short Films) and Documentaries.
Winning concepts in each category will pocket Sh500,000. The projects’ submission deadline is March 20, 2019 and space is limited to 24 pitches, which will be selected from the pool of submissions by a specially appointed jury of experts.
