Rehan Shah has taken the lead of the KCB National Championship despite finishing second in the 4WDT category at the weekend.
Shah clocked 06:06:78 behind Sahib Omar who claimed victory after clocking 06:05:25 while Lovejoyt Singh came in third in a time of 06:12:33.
Rehan’s second place saw him amass more points in what was round 10 of the championship which takes his total to 166. He now leads the championship series heading into the final leg that will be held in Eldoret next month.
McRae Kimathi in his 4WD was also on song and posted 02:17:34 and collectively earned a timing of 06:22:33 after the total four heats. His fastest set time heat was 02:06:23. He was ranked fourth overall in the competitive challenge.
In the 2WDT class, it was a highly contested battle between Imran Hakada who emerged winner after clocking 06:11:62 with Kunal Patel in second place after a total time of 06:11:76. Junaid Shah came in third with a total time of 06:28:00.
Rally ace Asad Anwar also brought in his huge experience on the rough terrain despite coming in fourth in the 2WD NT category. He clocked a 08:51:71 in the four heats.
The Bambino Class was also exciting with Yuvraj Rajput posting a time of 10:57:37 in the total heats run in the competition. He set out a collective heat running of 08:06:02 on the board after successful heats at Jamhuri in his giant wheels.
Tsevi Soni who took position 23 overall posted a practice session time of 03:01:49 and a collective heat timing of 11:01:44 while his total fastest three heats were pegged at 08:08:40.
