A Kiambu court has ordered the release of Brian Kassaine, who was being investigated over the murder of Monica Kimani.
Principal Magistrate, Justus Kituku has however ordered him to report to the DCI every thursday for two months to facilitate the investigation.
Kassaine, who has been in custody for 10 days, will also surrender his passport to detectives to ensure he does not leave the country. Kassaine was arrested after detectives established that the prime suspect in the murder Joseph Irungu alias Jowie used his gun in an apparent suicide bid after allegedly killing Monica.
Jowie and his fiancée Jacque Maribe were arraigned in court on Tuesday and remanded until Monday when they will plead to murder charges.
