Massive deforestation reported in Maasai Mau forest, Narok

Despite the government directing its arsenal towards the fight against deforestation. Cartels seems not to be cowed at all as they continue roaring their saw mills inside Masai Mau forest in Narok county.

A spot check on air and on ground inside the forest reveals that indigenous Ceder trees that are known to be growing in plenty in the area are almost extinct as timber harvesters literary open shop inside the forest with frequent transportation of fencing posts happening in the full glare and knowledge of Narok county officials who are mandated to protect the forest.
