Chiefs and their assistants in Siaya whose jurisdictions host dens of illicit liquor and betting machines after a major crack down to be launched today face the sack.
Siaya County Commissioner Joseph Narengo, says the first 100-day Rapid Results Initiative launched recently was poorly conducted and dens of liquor, betting machines are still in operation.
“We managed to confiscate 16 betting machines in the first phase of RRI and in the second phase, we will ensure all are collected, the illicit liquor outlets closed and brewers locked behind bars.
Narengo, who briefed the media after overseeing the burning of 16 betting machines in Siaya town, said the fight against drugs and betting machines will go until the two vices are wiped out.
