Munya vows to unite, work with Kiraitu

East African and Northern Corridor Cabinet secretary  Peter Munya has promised to bury the hatchet, unite  and  work with Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi despite the bitter political rivalry witnessed before and after the 2017 General Election.

The immediate former Meru governor said  following the unity  gesture by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga, he, too, had decided to take the cue  by embracing unity for the sake of development in Meru.

Speaking at Maili Tatu market in Igembe Central during his homecoming party,  Munya urged all the election losers to  forget both their political and personal differences and support the elected leaders to enable them to fulfil their pledges.

Munya lost to Kiraitu and petitioned  outcome in court before later withdrawing the case to pave way for his ministerial  appointment.
