NCCK urges President Kenyatta to declare graft a national disaster

The national council of churches of Kenya is now calling on president Uhuru Kenyatta to declare corruption a national disaster.
According to Canon Peter Karanja, general secretary of the NCCK, the president should also declare  a one year amnesty to graft suspects  to allow them return the loot failure to which stern action should be taken against them.
This is  expected to offer a break from the past where lack of political will was perceived to be the main hindrance in the fight against graft.
A scenario informed by the many documented instances of graft plaguing various government institutions, with the latest being the alleged 9 billion shillings national youth service saga.
