Coast Stima will Saturday test the might of leaders Western Stima in a titanic clash slated for Mbaraki Sports Club. The two sides are enjoying a good campaign with Western Stima currently leading the National Super League standings by 34 points while the Coastal outfit is 11th on the log with 19 points.
The Kisumu-based side who have only lost once in this campaign are buoyed after having had a solid run of three consecutive wins including their midweek 4-0 thrashing over neighbours and NSL newcomers Green Commandoes.
However Coast Stima will be keen to take advantage of their home turf to do damage and push up their position to the top half particularly after their 2-1 loss to Administration Police last Friday. Meanwhile wounded KCB currently i sixth place with 24 points face Green Commandoes at Bukhungu in what appears a soft match on paper for the former.
The Kakamega School side who are dangling at the near basement however will want to rattle the already limping and mentally strained bankers who have collected only one point in their last four matches. Such is the chaos at camp that rumours abound that all is not well at the well funded unit with all eyes trained on under fire tactician John Kamau.
Their last week’s 3-2 collapse to Nairobi City Stars after comfortably leading 2-0 in the opening half, has put paid to their psychologically strength on dealing with pressure at the toughest of moments.
The goals have recently dried up for top strikers Simon Munala and Chrispinus Onyango which should be a huge concern for Coach Kamau at the dugout. On the opposite end, their opponents for the weekend who are considered minnows would want to use that tag to their advantage and ultimately cause an upset.
