17-Year-old boy who underwent re-implantation of a severed hand discharged from KNH

A 17 year old boy whose hand was accidentally chopped off by a chaff cutter has Tuesday been discharged from the Kenyatta National Hospital making history as the first person in sub-saharan Africa to have his limbs re-attached after being severed.

Joseph Theuri who has been undergoing physiotherapy at the Kenyatta National Hospital after doctors successfully re-attached the severed limb is now able to move his fingers and has been allowed to go home after specialists from the university of Nairobi and the hospital gave him a clean bill of health.
