Youth from Nasa and Jubilee party have formed a cohesion group to push for unity through information and engagement.
A delegation from Western region was on Monday hosted in Kiambu’s Witeithie village in Juja sub-county, where the groups formed a united front to preach peace across the country and thaw political differences that have split the country in the recent past.
Speaking during the meeting, Okoth Robert from Homa Bay county said the youth face common challenges and need to work on a peaceful reconciliatory process to confront their challenges.
The group dubbed Youth for Peace Foundation Kenya will traverse Kisumu, Mombasa and Kitui counties, among others, to bring youths together to interrogate their purpose and future in the country.
“We want to have a new tribe of youths who are aware of their challenges, a tribe that cares for its own,” said Annita Muthoni, the group’s coordinator.
