Eight matches are on the cards this weekend at various grounds in Nairobi as the Super Eight Premier League enters the second week.
The fixture pitting Jericho FC against Ngando Youth Association (NYSA) FC at Camp Toyoyo is expected to spice up the league as it has got all the ingredients of a thriller.
Both sounded an early warning to their opponents after their emphatic wins in their opening games last week. Jericho crashed new comers Rysa FC 7-1 while NYSA ruthlessly hammered defending champions Kawangware United 5-0 in a one sided affair. Under the tutelage of Thomas Okongo, Jericho will be banking on their lanky forward Bandu Engo who scored a hat-trick last weekend to propel the squad against their opponents. However, going by their first match NYSA will not be an easy side to bring down. The title has eluded Jericho for two consecutive years and this time they are not taking any chances.
Meanwhile, after a terrible start of the league, cup holders Kawangware United expect to bounce back as they visit Hamza grounds to face home side Makadara Junior S.A.
A win, however, for the Francis Thairu coached side will not be a walk in the park as their opponents convincingly booked a ticket to the top-tier after winning the competitive Division one title last season.
At Drive inn ground, Metro Sports will play host to debutants Shauri Moyo Sportiff who come into the match breathing fire after stunning an experienced Zamalek FC 3-1 in an entertaining contest last weekend.
Metro are yet to play any match since their opening match against Makadara Junior was rescheduled following a heavy down-pour at the playing venue.
