It was an all-Kenyan affair witnessed at the finals of the Uniqlo Wheelchair Tennis Tour held at Nairobi Club, Wednesday. The pair of Phoebe Masika and Jane Ndenga overcame their counterparts Elizabeth Njoki and Asiya Mohammed 6-1, 6-1 in a one-sided encounter.

The eventual winners had the edge considering their experience thus closing out their opponents with ease. Their chemistry on court and solid play ensured they scooped points as the challengers struggled to keep up with lots of errors coming their way.

Earlier top seed Collins Omondi had won the men’s singles consolation against Voster Lengonela 6-3, 6-4 in an epic clash. For most of the while it was finely poised and evenly balanced as both players fought out gallantly for points.

However, Omondi was more efficient especially on the conversions. Meanwhile, second seed Kenyan female Phoebe Masika fell to Moroccan player Najwa Awane 6-3, 6-3 in a tight final.
