A man charged with sending threatening messages to Jubilee Party secretary general Raphael Tuju has been released on a Sh100,000 bond. Richard Aketch, 48, was released by Principal Magistrate Liz Gicheha after the prosecution informed the court that police had completed investigations on the accused.

Aketch, through his lawyer, told the court that he was ready to comply with the court’s directive when released on bond, adding that he is a father and the bread winner of his family.

“There being no objection on the accused being released on bail the court hereby directs that Aketch be released on a Sh100,000 pending hearing of the case,” ruled Gicheha.
