Stephen Kariuki Mwangi is one of the luckiest Kenyans in 2018 after emerging Lotto’s multi-millionaire and fourth millionaire of the year last weekend. Kariuki’s Sh10 million windfall underscored that Lotto’s commitment in creating as many and as big winners, just like it did in 2017.
Kariuki, based in Nakuru, won his big prize by matching all six numbers except the bonus number through his winning ticket bearing the numbers 33, 48, 26, 17, 38 and bonus number 8 against the draw’s winning numbers 26, 17, 38, 7, 33, 48 and bonus number 4.
A professional since 1987, Kariuki courtesy of Lotto happily found himself on the driver’s seat for whatever plans he had for 2018. With missing Sh100 million by just the bonus number, Kariuki is not complaining and intends to continue pursuing Lotto to either become a two-time millionaire winner or improve to bag the Sh100 million shillings prize.

Kariuki remarried in December 2016 to Esther Gachio and happily married with a child currently in university. With his own children all grown-up, Kariuki plans to settle himself into his own golden years and build himself a retirement home and support Esther in her clothing business.
