37yr old wins challenge after he cycled 44KM in Malindi

A 37 year old cyclist on Saturday bagged 100,000 shillings in cash after emerging the winner of the Malindi cycling challenge.

Stephen Sakwanda cycled a 44 kilometer stretch from Malindi town to Weru Technical Institute in Langobaya within a record of 1 hour 30 seconds.

The competition organised by Mining Cabinet Secretary Dan Kazungu was the first of its kind and involved both cyclists and motor cycle riders attracting hundreds of onlookers.

Julius sSafari emerged the winner of the motorcycle race bagging 70,00 shillings.
