Three MPs now want Matiang’i to resign, an audit done on the KCSE exam results

The outcome of the 2017 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education KCSE examination continues to elicit mixed reactions across the political divide with three members of parliament allied to the Orange Democratic Movement party now calling for the resignation of Education CS Dr. Fred Matiangi to pave way for an audit of the exam.

Led by Caleb Amisi of Saboti and his Uriri counterpart Mark Nyamita, the MPs also want parliament recalled to discuss the results which they say were the worst in Kenya’s history.

Matiangi was further warned that he could face an impeachment motion if he ignores their calls to step aside.

This as education experts warn the anger is directed in the wrong direction as Matiang’i simply exposed the country’s education system by sealing the loop holes.
