The holiday mood is slowly setting in and many people are preparing to have the best of the festive season after a prolonged period of general elections.
But for lovers of photography, a new opportunity now offers them a chance to visit the city of Shanghai, should they emerge winners in a recently launched contest.
Mobile phone company Infinix Mobility has launched a photography competition that will see the overall winner get a trip in Shanghai in March 2018. First and second runners up in the competition will also get different mobile phone devices and certificates.
Launched alongside the global launch on Infinix’s latest flagship product Infinix Zero 5, the competition seeks to have users showcase nature, people and animals captured through some of the best moments using the device.
According to the global Head of Infinix, Benjamin Jiang, said the company hopes to take smartphone photography to a level where it bridges the gap between amateur and professional photography.
The Stay True Shooting Awards will award a Free Trip to Shanghai and a Certificate to the winner, an Infinix Zero 5 and a certificate to the Platinum winner and an Infinix Quiet X plus a certificate to the second runners up.
Photography lovers globally have up-to January 30,2018 to submit entries for their best photos of people, places of animals in the country. Winners will be annouced on February 14,2018.
With a 16MP front camera, Infinix Zero 5 gives users a chance to take some of the best selfies. Additionally, users can easily put a watermark on their photos before capturing. This enables one to copyright his or her photo. The 64GB internal memory helps the user to take as many photos and videos as possible.
This increases their chance to capture the right moment for the competition.
Inifinix Zero 5 is now available in Kenya at Sh26,999 and can be accessed exclusively on Jumia.The device is the latest product in the Zero series after the launch of Zero 4 in 2016. It comes in black, red and gold colours and has a 6GB RAM.
