Headteachers will not be allowed to serve in home counties

The  government is tightening its noose on the management of the education sector with the Teacher’s Service Commission TSC unveiling tough new guidelines for head teachers for primary schools and principals of secondary schools and colleges.

Under the new guidelines announced by TSC Chief Executive Nancy Macharia primary school head teachers will no longer be allowed to head schools in their  home counties.

Additionally head teachers who will be required to have a degree will also not  be allowed to serve in one school for more than nine years.
