Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu has commended Members of the County Assembly for approving all his Cabinet nominees. He said the gesture was an indicator of future cooperation between MCAs and his administration to enable him to deliver his campaign promises to residents, backed by the team, which was selected based on knowledge, skills and experience.
“Some leaders suffer from inferiority complex and, therefore, fear appointing sharp people to their team lest they get outshined. However, I chose highly qualified individuals because what matters is service delivery,” he said.
Waititu spoke at a thanksgiving ceremony, hosted by the county Finance and Economic Planning executive Mburu Kang’ethe at his Karura home at the weekend. Those present included Butula MP Joseph Oyula (ODM). He told residents to expect major transformation in the county.
