The 3.5 kilometre Corporate Race has been introduced in the 33rd edition of the Inter-Banks Games which will be officially opened tomorrow at the Kenya Institute of Monetary Studies (KSMS).
According to the organisers, the newest competition will be eligible for Deputy Chief Executive Officers in various banking institutions and is tailored at gaining a wider scope besides fostering more friendship which is the embodiment of the annual fiesta.
The Corporate race comes hot on the heels of the CEO’s Marathon that was unveiled last year. Speaking during the launch, the chairman of Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB) Sports Ezekiel Tanui said the event is geared at providing an environment where bankers come together in a spirit of camaraderie. “Bankers are like a family and there is no better way of bonding like coming together through sports,” said Tanui.

The entrants include Bank of India, Bank of Africa, Barclays Bank of Kenya, Central Bank, Chase Bank, Citi Bank, Commercial Bank of Africa, Consolidated Bank, Co-operative Bank, Credit Bank, Diamond Trust Bank, Equity Bank and GT Bank.
