A presidential candidate in the just-concluded fresh presidential election Prof Japheth Kaluyu yesterday said he is ready to serve in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government if given the opportunity.
While congratulating Uhuru for his re-election on the October 26 repeat poll, the US-based don, said the country needs to move on after a prolonged political period that has negatively affected the economy.
“It is time to move on as a country and we leaders must be counted. Political leaders must drop their pride and think of the citizen they want to lead,” said Kaluyu. Though he unsuccessfully contested for presidency in August 8 election which was nullified by Supreme Court and October 26 repeat poll, Kaluyu said he was ready to serve in any other capacity.
“I am a qualified Kenya with immense experience in various field and if President Uhuru offer me a job while reconstituting his Cabinet or any other position, I am more than ready to accept,” he added.
