Uproar after police allegedly kill herders cattle

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission, NCIC has weighed in on the brewing tensions in Laikipia county accusing the security agencies of using excessive force to flush out pastoralists from private ranches.

Speaking after 400 heads of cattle belonging to herders were shot dead by the police in the ongoing security operation, NCIC Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo said the action was threatening to flare -up ethnic hostilities in the area.
