Mombasa-based singer, Dazlah, has shifted base and signed with Meru-based talent management label, Watanashati Classics. The move by the Kide Kide hit maker, which was announced by the label’s CEO Kayfar, caught many by surprise, after many had touted Dazlah to join Tanzania’s Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), given his dalliance with Bongo star Diamond Platnumz.
Speaking exclusively to Spice, Kayfar intimated that the two parties had been in talks for some time, and finally put the deal to paper this week. “Dazlah is a talented artiste and if you remember, he is one of the performers who curtain-raised for Diamond when he toured Meru. The deal will include facilitating his studio time, his welfare and also growing his brand in the East African region,” he stated.
A little birdie has it the carrot was dangled a while back when the label bought him some wheels as well as secured the artiste a furnished apartment in Meru. However, critics were quick to point out the car was gifted to the label and not Dazlah. At the same time, Kayfar divulged that the singer was set to release a number of projects, which might include the long-awaited collabo with Diamond.
