First Lady Margaret Kenyatta took the message of empowerment to the coast region yesterday where she asked women to vote for a President committed to their progress.
She said by choosing President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August 8 election, women will be voting for continued transformation of the country and the progress of all women.
“Let us together transform Kenya. Let us pledge as women to vote for progress,” she told the women at the Kenya School of Government, Matuga Campus grounds during a meeting with Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation (MYWO).
The First Lady reassured the about 6,000 women that Uhuru will keep all the promises he had previously made to them including expanding the Women Enterprise Fund.
“I have come to ask that you, on August 8, you vote for Uhuru Kenyatta, so that he can deliver his promises to you; so that he can finish his work,” appealed the First Lady.
