Recent opinion polls place Pres. Kenyatta and Odinga at per in popularity rating

The recent research findings from two polling firms in the country, IPSOS Synovate and Infotrak Research and Consulting Company have put President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee party and his main rival in the August polls NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga slightly at per in terms of popularity with the findings indicating that no candidate has hit the 50% popularity mark.

Now, does this mean that the country will be heading for a run off after the August 8th election?

Anders Ihachi spoke to Maggie Ireri, the Director of Trends and Insights  for Africa, TIFA Research Firm who says the though the race is tight a run off may be avoided if the two candidates intensify their campaigns in the remaining 10 days of campaign.
