Pay television service provider MultiChoice, through DStv and Supersport will have the GOtv Shield competition aired live from the quarter-final stage.
The competition which kicked off on June 24 enters the round of 16 this weekend. This is the fifth and final year of the sponsorship from the service provider.
“Currently we only sponsor the GOtv Shield and as our position on the Kenyan Premier League still remains; we no longer have a contract with them,” said Multichoice Kenya Corporate Communications Manager Philip Wahome.
He was speaking during a launch of the new foreign football season where the firm has recently renewed the broadcast rights to the Premier League that starts on August 11, for the next five years.
“The World of Champions joins a league of select broadcasters from across the world and the only one in Africa boasting such an offering to broadcast the 380 matches of the Premier League on SS11 and a similar number of the Spanish La Liga on SS12,” said Wahome.
