Cosmas Kabole, a boda boda rider, has just experienced a superb stroke of luck after winning Sh5 million through Lotto. The 28-year-old became Lotto’s 186th millionaire and Lotto’s 20th multi-millionaire in the third power draw held last Saturday.
Two other winners, Samuel Maina and Petro Kiplagat split a Sh1.2 million windfall with each taking home Sh600,000. In a draw that attracted three winners of mixed ages, Kabole was the biggest winner with his big Bonus Power Draw win, coming from his winning ticket bearing the numbers 39, 4, 34, 2, 11, 35 and bonus number 9, to bag a cool Sh5 million for his troubles.
Maina and Kiplagat matched five of six numbers and the bonus number against the draw’s winning numbers 30, 40, 25, 26, 42, 39 and bonus number 7.
Kabole, the latest Power draw winner, had begun Lotto on the belief that he could win big like others he had seen and who had been celebrated in the media. Kabole, who has been married for three years to Jane Achieng’ Kabole, with whom he has a two-year-old son, received the amazing news when he was preparing dinner, his wife having travelled upcountry.
He was taken aback and could not hide his excitement at the news which he immediately shared with his wife who was in Kakamega at the time. He is now thinking of buying a piece of land where he will build a home as well as assist his wife pursue hairdressing course with the view to opening her own hair salon business.
In addition, he plans to educate his son to the highest level possible. Meanwhile, Maina had a dream that he would bag a windfall also plans to buy a piece of land and build a house, along with furthering his wife’s already established business as they look to raise and provide a happy home for their two children. Maina is also toying with plans of assisting his younger brother with basic education.
