Former Gor Mahia defender Ivan Anguyo led from the front when he steered Nairobi Stima to a 3-1 defeat of FC Talanta in a National Super League (NSL) match at the Camp Toyoyo ground in Jericho yesterday.
Anguyo let fly an in-swinging free-kick past a stranded Joel Bataro to open the floodgates for the dominant Stima who missed a litany of open scoring chances. Bataro, who had a stint at Gor Mahia two years ago, was the busiest of the two goalkeepers in the afternoon as he pulled top drawer saves that saved the team from a heavier defeat.
