August was usually viewed as Kenya’s black Month

The month of August has traditional been known by Kenyans as the black month, a month in which since the death of the country’s founding father, the late  Mzee Kenyatta  on August, 22nd 1978, some of the country’s prominent politicians and personalities have often passed on.

But Friday’s burial of veteran politician G.G Kariuki  ahead of another high profile burial of Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery Saturday, the curse of August now seems to have shifted to the month of July after Friday’s death of former TJRC Chairman Bethwel Kiplagat and  Tuesday’s departure of former Kanu strongman Nicholas Biwott
