In the meantime, Wazito- thumped KCB 3-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos to go level on points with league leaders Vihiga United. Harambee Stars trialist Joe Waithera emerged the toast of Wazito with a superb brace with Pistone Mutamba also on the score card to hand Wazito their 11th win from sixteen matches.
Last Sunday, the uncompromising Wazito, who face Kibera Al Stars in their next fixture, knocked out KCB on post-match penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time. In Jericho, Ushuru shrugged off a disappointing exit from the GoTV Shield at the hands of Vihiga United to brush aside Palos.
Benson Amianda gave the taxmen an early lead before Bill Oporia scored on his debut to hand Ushuru a 2-0 half-time lead. He then grabbed his brace in the second half to hand the more experienced Ushuru an easy win. Ushuru are now fourth in the standings with 34 points from 16 matches, a point behind leaders Vihiga United.
Later at the same venue, Nairobi City Stars edged out Administration Police 2-0. Captain Arthur Museve scored on the stroke of half-time to give City Stars a 1-0 halftime lead.

The win by City Stars was no doubt a morale boost ahead of their game against Isibania this weekend. In other results, Bidco United of Thika built on their 2-0 win over Rainforest in the GoTV Shield Tournament last weekend to edge out winless MOSCA 1-0 at the Thika Sub-county Stadium while Kibera Black Stars forced Modern Coast Rangers to a 2-2 draw at the Mbaraki Sports Club. GFE 105 also secured a 1-0 win over Agro Chemicals at the Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret.
