Life has changed for the better for two lucky Kenyans Rose Kamau and Salome Kavithe who have just joined the millionaires club courtesy of Lottery firm Lotto.
The two bagged Sh1 million each during the 175th draw that produced 65,815 winners in similar fashion to previous draws, bringing the total number of winners since the company’s inception in November 2015 to just over three million.
Kamau, a single mother of five who is a fruit vendor in Kiambu, was the first to get her lucky roll of the dice with her ticket number 74272132526 bearing the numbers 46, 26, 39, 8, 48, 43 and bonus number three.
Unbeknown to her that she was on the verge of bagging a windfall, Kamau matched five numbers 46, 48, 43, 8, 39, 28 and bonus number three and she was an instant millionaire.
Having played for fun and to contribute to the chances of others winning, Kamau knew one day, the Lord would turn Lotto’s favour her way although she still surprised by the windfall.
She began playing Lotto after hearing from many quarters how it had changed the lives of a high number of ordinary Kenyans and with that information, she was convinced her possibility of winning was high. Kavithe meanwhile, became Lotto’s 21st Supa Sunday millionaire winning S1 million in Lotto’s 21st Supa Sunday draw.
