Wierd ideas for a free lunch!

Arizona joint that offers free meals to overweight people

How do you encourage obese people to shed off some weight? Whatever reasons one may give, we are sure offering free food at a fast food eatery only makes things worse. Since 2010, a restaurant in Chandler, Arizona, US has been serving free food to anyone over 158kg.

If they suspect a customer has reached the weight, they request to weigh them and if truly one is over 158 kg, the person is given a life-time voucher of free food. Making things worse?

Where ugly people indulge for free

An eatery in Denver, US, has a sign that reads, “Ugly people eat for free.” The establishment’s owner, Sam Taylor, cleared things up and said it’s all in good fun and it’s just a clever way to get people in the door and not—as some say—a form of discrimination. He says they randomly choose patrons to be the “winner” of the free meal! We aren’t sure if these free meals bring forth joy or crash one’s self esteem.

Restaurant that gives freebies to people without friends

Table for one, please! At Eenmaal, a restaurant in Amsterdam, there is only a table for one. Social designer and initiator Marina van Goor explains the concept behind the restaurant: “Eenmaal is a restaurant like any other, but one thing is totally different: you only find tables for one person here.

Eenmaal is an exciting experiment for those who never go out to dinner alone, as well as an appealing opportunity for those who often eat alone at restaurants.” If you prove to the restaurant manager that you are a loner and you have no friends, you get free food. It pays being a loner here.

Restaurant where beautiful people don’t have to pay

A restaurant in central China is offering free meals to its most attractive clients. Jeju Island, a Korean eatery in Zhengzhou, says the 50 most beautiful people to arrive at its gates each day will be spared paying their bills.

Those hoping for a free lunch have their looks evaluated by a panel of local plastic surgeons. In case you fail to get the offer, you can better your looks by visiting one of the evaluating surgeons.

Guests are taken to a “beauty identification area” where they are photographed. Potential diners are judged on the quality of their faces—protruding foreheads are a particular advantage, according to reports.

Burgers at no cost if you have burger tattoo

Do you like burgers? Well, you could get free burgers for life from a cafe in Australia if you get a burger tattoo. Not just any burger tattoo will work—you have to go through an application process, and if you get approved, then you have to get a life-size tattoo of one of their extreme burger creations with their logo. So far only one person has gotten a tattoo, but the restaurant has received over 3,000 applications.

Drink without paying if you donate toe

How does the offer of free drinks for life at a bar sound? All you need to do is cut off a toe and donate it to the Downtown Hotel in Dawson City, Canada. The establishment has been serving a bizarre drink with a human toe inside.

The toe is apparently put in the drink only as a ‘flavour’ and partakers are given strict instructions not to swallow it. However, once in a while, a few cannibalistic or rather curious patrons swallow the toe as well forcing the establishment to look for ways to enlarge their stock of human toes in case of such an occurence. For that reason, anyone willing to donate a toe gets free drinks for life. Are you enticed enough to sacrfice a toe?
