Six-piece voting call by ODM in Nyanza gains momentum

The six-piece voting pattern is gaining momentum in Nyanza region even as it faces sharp opposition from disgruntled residents and leaders.

National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential campaign team in the region led by Homa Bay Women’s Representative Gladys Wanga and Nominated MP Oburu Odinga is preaching the six-piece voting gospel.

Last Friday, the team pitched tent in Kabondo Kasipul constituency in an effort to convince residents to vote only for the ODM party nominees.

They took the campaigns to Awendo constituency on Sunday where Oburu urged locals to shun candidates running on other parties or as independents.

In Kisumu, a team of ODM aspirants led by governor candidate Anyang’ Nyong’o, his Senate counterpart Fred Outa, Seme MP James Nyikal and deputy governor Ruth Odinga also rolled out campaigns for six-piece voting in the county ahead of August 8 poll.
