Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama faces a fierce battle after four candidates aspiring to oust him traversed the county urging the electorate to reject him on August 8 poll.
Walter Nyambati (Jubilee), Ereneo Nyakiba (PDR), James Gesami (Independent) and Okong’o Mongare (NLP) separately accused Nyagarama of mismanaging the county resources and promoting nepotism in employment.
Speaking at Miruka, Nyamaiya and Sironga market centres, Nyambati said re-electing Nyagarama for a second term could be a disaster.
Nyakiba, who contested for the seat in the last elections but lost to Nyagarama, said the county needs new leadership if it has to prosper economically. Mongare put on notice those who are embezzling county funds.
