FKF suspends AP players, officials over match violence

National Super League (NSL) side Administration Police have ultimately paid the price of the violence which rocked their ill-fated match against Vihiga United at Mumias Sports Complex on May 6 after having three of their players and one official suspended by Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

Club’s official Musa Musungu will serve a two-year ban while three players-Alfred Sandaji Chole, Julius Kavo Muteti and Ezekiel Ng’ang’a-have been suspended for the rest of the year in any FKF -club or competition after being found guilty of attacking the centre referee and his assistants besides destroying property belonging to Mumias Complex.

Further, AP have been fined Sh50,000 out of which Sh5,000 from the amount will be used to meet the medical expenses of the match officials, Sh15,000 towards the damaged substitutions bench at the Mumias Complex while Sh30,000 will be used to cater for costs of the League and competitions meeting to arbitrate the case.

The punitive measures were effected after the League and Competition Committee held a meeting with AP officials namely Daniel Wakasala (Technical Advisor), Daniel Owino (Organizing Secretary) and David Onyango at FKF Headquarters, Kasarani, on May 18.
