Village Chief killed during suspected Al shabaab attack

The resurgent wave of attacks returned to haunt residents of Mandera town after suspected Al-Shabaab militants  attacked Omar Jilo village on Monday night killing the area Chief.

North Eastern regional co-ordinator Mohamed Saleh who confirmed the incident said two  police reservists have gone missing amid suspicions that they might have been abducted by the attackers who fled into the neighbouring Somalia.
