Bomas of Kenya stun Fisa in FKF Nairobi West league tie

Home team Bomas of Kenya thrashed Fisa 2-0 in a one sided Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Nairobi West Regional league match played at Bomas of Kenya grounds at the weekend.

Fisa which has produced some of the top stars in Kenyan football including internationals Patrick Oboya, Paul Were and Kevin Omondi, were tipped to trounce the hosts, but found the going too tough.

At Joseph Kang’ethe Woodley grounds in Kibera during a pulsating double header, visiting Kemri FC humiliated hosts Kibera Talents in 3-0 in a mind-numbing early kick-off before Uweza FC beat Reformed United by a similar margin in a match played at the same venue later.

Meanwhile, at the Kangemi’s Kihumbuini grounds, hosts Kangemi Patriots continued with their good run by edging hard-fighting Iron Strikers 3-1 as pre-match underdogs Amazon Tigers shocked everyone by overpowering the once mighty Kitusuru All Stars.

In the Maisha County Women League Amani Queens and Kibera Girls Soccer Team plundered the highest number of goals against their respective opponents.

Amani did not disappoint their home fans at Woodley grounds as they whipped their bitter rivals Kangemi Ladies 8-0 in a humdrum match while Kibera Girls hammered Vixens 4-0 in a nerve-wrecking fixture staged at Ngong Road Posta grounds.
