New initiative by NASCOP aims to end epidemic by the year 2030

The National AIDS Control Programme- NASCOP has rolled out a new initiative that targets to scale the number of HIV positive patients using anti-retroviral drugs.
Under the initiative NASCOP targets to increase the number of patients on ARVs from 950, 000 to 1.5 million in the next three years.
The move is part of the global initiative to boost life expectancy and eliminate the HIV and AIDS virus from the face of earth by the year 2030.
