Jericho All Stars, who commanded the SportPesa Super Eight Premier League for a couple of months, will be looking forward to returning to the summit when they welcome Kiamaiko City at their Camp Toyoyo grounds in one of the seven pulsating matches expected at the weekend.
Jericho’s winning streak came to a rude shock after they were gunned down 1-0 by pre-match underdogs Kayole Asubuhi in a fully-packed City Stadium last weekend, the loss saw the once mighty Jericho drop third spot on the 16-team chart on 56 points while Kayole romped to the summit with an improved 58 points.
The once Eastlands powerhouse Jericho, will be using the match to try and reclaim top spot while Kiamaiko are expecting a win that will improve their points tally from the current 34 points.
In the early kick-off at the same venue, defending champions Technical University of Kenya (TUK) who walloped relegation-threatened Shamako Babes 7-0 are oozing with confidence ahead of their match with West Conference’s Ajax FC.
TUK catapulted to second place on the standing after winning last weekend’s tie and will be expecting similar result against their opponents who are stagnated at fifth place with 48 points. On Sunday, table toppers Kayole Asubuhi will be hoping to extend their stay at the summit when they host Baba Dogo United.
At Kawangware BP grounds home team Melta Kabiria will be hosting fourth-placed Shauri Moyo Blue Stars while Makongeni Sports Association (MASA) United will be welcoming a resilient Kawangware United.
