An Administration Police officer attached to Lesirwa AP Camp in Kipkelion West sub-county has gone underground after allegedly raping a disabled girl in his house in the camp on Monday night.
The officer fled to an unknown destination after members of the public who were baying for his blood stormed the camp to flush him out for committing the heinous act. The officer is allegedly to have lured the girl to his house at the camp before raping her on the Monday night.
The enraged father of the girl, Joseph Korir, said his daughter was suppose to report at the Eldoret Technical Institute for a course before she fell into the trap of the officer. He told journalists that he made inquiries after his daughter disappeared, in vain.
On Tuesday, some people who had spotted the girl with the police officer at Lesirwa shopping centre informed the family, prompting them to storm the camp with the help of the locals and found their daughter at the officer’s house.
