Rachier Amollo carried home this year’s Justice Cup champions after a narrow 1-0 win over Chase Bank in a tight match at the Parklands Sports Club. Chase Bank had looked more promising throughout the match but suffered in the hands of talented advocates.
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) came in third after beating the Kenya School of Law (KSL) in the third and fourth play-offs. Chase Bank had managed to stun LSK Sacco 5-4 in their cup semis while Rachier Amollo Advocates bagged a 3-0 win in a one-sided semi-final match.
Rachier Amollo Advocates were first in their green pool, Muiru Mungai Advocates topped their Red pool while LSK Sacco topped their Yellow Pool all with a total of 11 points each. Tom Ojienda Advocates were first in White pool and Chase Bank also led the Black pool both with 14 points each.
LSK Secretary and CEO, Apollo Mboya is optimistic that their team select to face Law Society of Zambia is firm enough to set the pace for the Harambee Stars in their match against Chipolopolo. The 16th edition with a capacity attendance, had 38 teams divided in a total of six pools; Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Black and Green.
