Kalonzo claims Jubilee out to divide Kambas, dismisses Mutua movement

Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said Kambas are stronger than ever and accused the government of trying to divide the community.

Speaking yesterday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on arrival from his trip abroad, Kalonzo said the community knows its political direction and will not follow leaders who want to be declared the community’s kingpin, adding that he will “offer no competition whatsoever”.

He said Kenya has come of age and that people are ready to take challenges from anyone, adding that neither the Kamba community nor any other can be “mortgaged” since they can make their own decisions.

His remarks come against the backdrop of the recent launch of a political movement, Maendeleo Chap Chap spearheaded by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua to unite the region.
