MP Ferdinand Waititu could be arrested for allegedly inciting traders at Wangige market to engage in lawlessness.
Officers from Kikuyu Police Station said the lawmaker also joined traders in destruction of county government property, adding that they have recorded statements from witnesses.
Police move comes after county officials led by County secretary Fred Kitema and Water executive Esther Njuguna reported the incident in which the traders allegedly dumped garbage in their offices, among other offices.
The traders reportedly became riotous after an address by Waititu (pictured). Yesterday, Kitema, Njuguna and other county criticised the MP for the incident. “We are disheartened to see an elected leader inciting people to destroy what is meant to serve them,” he said.
